Print a chart you can follow.
The pattern maker exports a real multi-page A4 PDF. Check the preview before printing the entire project.
1. Download and check the thread key
Open the PDF in your usual reader. The cover shows the whole chart; the project details page lists its stitch width, height, fabric count and DMC reference colors. Review physical thread colors before buying supplies.
2. Choose your paper settings
Select A4 and portrait orientation. Use actual size when possible, then check the print preview for clipped edges. On Letter paper, fit to printable area and print a test page first. The exported file itself remains A4.
3. Read symbols and bold grid lines
Each symbol corresponds to a thread in the key. Bold lines mark every ten stitches. Printed chart size does not determine the finished design size; your fabric count does.
4. Count overlapping stitches once
Adjacent chart pages repeat two rows or columns. Follow the row and column ranges printed above each chart and mark your progress so repeated areas are stitched once.
